A notice about next weekend’s race from North Star Sled Dog Club:
Wakiyan Hinhan Dog Derby January 12 at 4:08pm With much thought and consideration and being today is decision day, we have decided that the best interest of the teams competing and everyone being safe the race is cancelled.😥 If the snow we had didn't melt this event would be a go. But it did and we weren't able to get the snow we needed and our future forecast is only showing a dusting if any at all. I do want to say THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU who had planned on helping get this event off the ground. Without you there would be no event. I will build this event next season again and with any luck mother nature will be kind. So if you're still interested in helping with future races you are welcome to join the Wakiyan Hinhan Dog Derby Volunteers group... You are also welcome to join North Star Sled Dog Club and keep up with all of our on goings. Sorry for the inconvenience and THANK YOU again! To all those that signed up, refunds are going out today.
