Price of our pups is based on the following factors:
All breeders must incur certain general costs to successfully breed two parent dogs and raise a healthy litter of pups. These costs may increase or decrease for any given litter depending on whether there are pregnancy concerns, other health complications, pedigrees, and “proven” sire or dams. A well-bred pedigree or designer puppy will cost anywhere from $400 to $3,000 on average. The cost of a puppy varies hugely, depending upon the breed and the amount the breeder has invested into health tests, but just because good puppies don’t come cheap, that doesn’t mean that every expensive puppy is a good puppy either. Puppy cost can vary depending on a great many factors. In every case, though, the puppy price will be linked to the breeder’s own cost to breed and raise that litter. So, while a puppy/dog price may seem arbitrary from the outside looking in, it likely appears very different from the inside looking out!
Do your research - interview your breeder: do they have a history with their chosen breed, do they work the animal as to what their heritage intended or are they just trying to spin a profit? These are all very important questions to ask when looking for your next furry family-member.
